About Rachel Stringfellow

Grounded in a strong desire to share and elevate the voices of our communities on a global scale, Rachel brings a fresh and exciting energy to NIT. Rachel comes with a background teaching at QUT within First Nations knowledges units and brings a love for disseminating research, writing, and yarning. Her matrilineal connections are through her Nanna, Nida Lowe (family name: Wilson) who was a Stolen Generations (Gudanji nation) and wider family have and continue shaping her into the person she is today. Connection to family, her history, our history grounds Rachel, and continues to be an inner driving force in her life. This internal drive has seen her grow with guidance from family, friends, and through experience gained from a variety of industries spanning Education, Government, Non-for-Profit and Media. Integrity, transparency, and a desire to build upon her relationships are at the bedrock of who she is.
