Passionate about storytelling, Emma is a digital native who covers beats including pop culture, the arts, fashion and the environment. She graduated from Curtin University in 2020 with First Class Honours, submitting her thesis on post-colonial discourses within the Harry Potter book series. She began her career as a freelance writer with words in Pedestrian TV, Lifehacker, Fashion Journal and Zee Feed. Knowing she had to make writing her entire life, she became a full-time journalist at the National Indigenous Times in 2022. She loves her labradoodle, taking afternoon naps, snorkelling the Boorloo (Perth) surrounds and watching terrible reality TV.
