Mestre Sérgio Xocolate, also known as XOCÔ , has just announced his newest album, the self-titled 'XOCÔ.'

The album boasts a blend of Afro-Indigenous Brazilian rhythms and traditional percussion, psychedelic rock, punk, reggae, metal and hard rock.

Born in Recife, Brazil, XOCÔ initially got the project initiated on the shores of Turtle Island South, where it then found its home and flourished in Toronto, Canada.

The project is not just about music though; it's a cultural exchange and a tribute to Sérgio's Afro-Indigenous heritage.

The album's first single, "Constança," is currently available and is a vibrant celebration of Afro Indigenous Brazilian culture and folklore, evoking the spirit of Brazilian street parties and paying homage to folkloric heroes like Curupira, Saci Pererê, Comadre Florzinha, and Caboclo de Lança.

'XOCÔ' demands respect for Indigenous cultures, celebrating Black heritage, advocating for environmental protection and unity.

Internationally recognised for his contributions to music, culture, and education, Mestre Sérgio Xocolate is a master Capoeira teacher, composer, a singer/songwriter, and a percussionist.

'XOCÔ' is now available on streaming platforms including Soundcloud, Spotify, and Bandcamp.
