Are you passionate about healthcare and public safety?
We are seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples for appointment to our state and territory boards of the Medical (MBA) Board of Australia to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and voices are embedded in the work of the National Scheme. There are vacancies on the following boards:
- Australian Capital Territory Boards of the MBA
- Queensland Board of the MBA
- Victorian Board of the MBA
The State and Territory Boards work in partnership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) to make notification (complaint) and registration decisions about individual practitioners, based on national policies and standards set by the National Boards. Practitioners provide important expertise and input from their profession. Community members are active and engaged health consumers with lived experience and strong community connections who can represent the needs, perspectives and expectations of the community.
The National Scheme is also committed to providing an environment that embraces and values equity, diversity and inclusion.
